Back from SP Adventurers FO camp! The camp was initially boring, and i was starting to regret it cos there's 3 tests coming up next week, until it came to life on the last day. I dont know if it's a pre-planned climax thing but the today was great!
We did boating, jetty jump and kayaking. It doesnt look like alot of activities, but it was really fun because it was all at sea! Man I love the sea..mayb its because of some passing down from my dad, I dont know what, but the sea really interests me alot.
Btw, the best thing of camp was jetty jump! This is my 1st time doing jetty jump. Initially I have to admit, I planned to sit out this 'crazy' activity, but after I jumped from about 2 stories, it was REALLY krazy! Crazy in the sense its adrenaline pumping. Me love it! Jetty jump here i come again!
3 tests coming up next week, and I spent the weekend attending a camp, so more detailed details when I've the time!

Woke up at 5:45am today for my second 2-hour training ride in consecutive days. Today's destination was Mount Faber, where im there to see what singapore's highest elevation got to offer and also to practise my climbing. On the way, South Buona Visa Road offered 2km plus of gradual climbing too. Climbed the back of Faber twice before moving on to scale the front of it, which is notably steeper. It's a climbing day.
In the 3 Faber climbs I found out my weakness. It's nothing to do with my climbing ( at least i overtook a few fellow cyclists on the way up), but it was actually my descending. When descending, those in front of me were long gone right thru the corners while those behind me were closing in on me, waiting to overtake. And the cause of it is my slow, no confidence cornering. No worries, I'll be back there on sunday hone my skills!

Last lesson today was aircraft maintenence practices practical and as usual, we finished late; 30 mins past 5. When I reached home at 6, i wasted no time to get on my bike. Yes, i've brought my bike to Singapore to train more regularly, because i'll be joining a few road races here.
After I finished cycling just now, one thing really puzzles me. Do all the cyclists here not acknowledge another fellow cyclist? I mean..I came across 5 of them throughout my ride. I waved to ALL of them and NONE of them returned the wave. They looked at me like I was some alien doing some funny shit. Damn malu for me to wave to someone only for him to tao me la.
In msia this will probably never happen. The opposite party will never fail to wave to you FISRT and if you are cycling in the same direction, they'll ask you to join them. In Singapore, its all MYOB I guess.
Tomorrow there's sports club training, which i've not gone for like months. Surprisingly the captain still keeps asking us back(which just shows how much im worth) and I feel bad for him so im just gonna go for his sake.

It's Mother's Day(!) and there's no better fitting way than to eat what we grew up eating: mom's home cooked food. She cooked for lunch today. Of course it has to be something out of the box and it was black pepper chicken coupled with fries and a crazy amount of mixed greens. Yummy.

But of course, any special event automatically means an off-day in the kitchen and a big treat outside! And this Mother's Day treat came a day early in the form of japanese restaurant Kinsahi. Reason was because my mom loves their speciality dish, the Imperial Ebi Maki.

Its just over Rm30 for this dish. The pictured dish is exactly what we had.

Then dinner was at the neighbourhood hawker centre where we ordered rojak, popia. satay, 'goreng goreng'. We just ordered what we could and finished it up together.

Eat your veggies!

Now you see it..
..now you have it.
Anyway I've reached an exciting next phase of my auto learning. For car, I passed my FTT and canbook my TP already. Then for motorbike, i've passed lesson 5.02 which means i can apply my PDL and ride on the roads for the subsequent lessons!
