Saturday night is unquestionably the best time of the week and more often than not, I'm usually at home, forcing myself to watch the ironically titled Stay Home Saturday Movie segment on channel 5. Well, that's what you get when you have a boring dad and you're not allowed to use the car at all too.
So we depend on our aunties/cousins to bring us out to the explore the vastness of JB!
And so that has bought us to Kampong Senibong, a seaside village facing Senoko Industrial Estate & Sembawang, for a saturday nite dinner. We were there for the Nasi Lemak. According to guidepicker.com, this is what they think of it:

Nasi Lemak Senibong Located in Kampung Senibong, it has been serving one of the best Nasi Lemak in Johor Bahru. Costing RM4 per plate, it costs of coconut flavoured rice, chicken (comes in three flavours), an egg and sambal (traditional malay chili sauce).

The food isn't saliva-inducing fantastic, but it is the setting and the difference in dining experience that sets this place apart from a common restoran nestled in a shophouse. P-r-e-c-i--s-e-l-y. That is because we're not eating in a shophouse, we're eating on the sea! On a platform on wooden stilts, that is. Seaside alfresco dining, I like to call it, at a relatively ridiculously affordable price.

The area is quite packed and lively because there's a few seafood restaurants and, because of the 1st factor, the 2nd factor singaporeans.

Warning: No fans available. Sea breeze is constant.

I say, hygiene grading stops at hawker centres, because if they were to grade everything that sells food, then..

Ikan Bakar. It's been a long time since I last ate this in Malaysia.

Another seafood favourite of mine: La La

The nasi lemak portion is maybe slightly below average, but that leaves room for more good food.

Ice Kacang is a good way to douse those lingering sambal flames.

ABC Special that is basically Ice ^Cream Kacang

6person RM62. That's RM10 per head for a plate of nasi lemak and 2 plates of seafood. (Drinks sold seperately) People having seafood at Sembawang(which is directly across from where we are) must be cursing themselves if they see this. Same catch from the same sea, but depending on which shore you go, the difference is crazy.

For the first( and last time) in poly I actually went for my school's day, which is SMAE Day. It wasnt really good - a few wannabe singers and off-key bands - but with fun friends and 2 cameras-in-arm its us that define the word 'fun'. The lucky draw was an apt curtain closer but damn, I should have won the grand prize of the Ipod Touch.

Then at the end there's a buffet spread of Chinese, Indian, Malay and International food. There's even 2 Indians making naan on-the-spot with the charcoal and stuff. Boy, finally there is a caterer that serves good food. Laksa, naan, chicken, fish, mango pudding, meehoon are some of the food i pigged on.
After that we went to play soccer. Or wanted to. But there was no one at the court so off we went home.

emcees for the day

What is the name of the flower..

This reminds me of the bruno mars MV

After school, four of us went for a career talk, then we went to check out poly50 and took a few pictures too.

Ok, I dunno what's with my face but that's how ugly I think Ben's new bag is.

You want noise, you find the malairen

Bros forever. Whores forever?

When even finishing is hard, you'll find immense satisfaction crossing this line.

One shot at the carpark before the run. For obvious reasons, I did not take any photos during the run.

I was gonna take the food and pose with it for a shot. But why she was looking like that..
The look of 'watch and learn'

Must be another joke on someone. LOL

Can you believe it, we were actually waiting for the 'marinated' chicken bait to set in. I though we only had that in the kitchen.

Now you'll see one of life's most ironic sights; Jesper's wallet design says 'Damn Im Broke' but hell, that wallet is always filled with cash soo thick it'll put bk double whopper to shame
And now you'll see one of life's rarest sights: Jesper's wallet is empty and he withdrew money for the FIRST TIME in his life that day.
The next few shots are a cool fisherman at work.
In case anyone wondered why I was carrying my bag all the while, it's because I cant afford to have someone 'prawn' my high value bag\equipment away

The feeling you get when get a catch is something money cant buy. It's like striking lottery. Maybe I should ask my dad to come prawning LOL
Fishing is a sine wave sport. One moment you get a catch you are all up and excited. Next moment it's just waiting and more waiting
Grabbing prawns was one of the scary things I overcame initially. Then putting a satay stick through a prawn was another one. But amutating the guy's pincers was something I couldnt bring myself to, and still didnt do.

There is no better name than this to give your rod: SureCatch

This prawn is the unluckiest thing on the planet. He got caught by his ass.

When you end up in a net, you know it's just the start of places you're ending up at.

The plate is the next place.

And the fireplace is the last! Sorry prawns, your next life will be better, I promise.

The place got more crowded as the afternoon went by.

This place looks exactly like KL. The shops and the parking.
This guy is rich enough to drive Audi S5 but not smart enough to know today has free parking(see the 2 coupons he peeled off). Then again what is that 2 coupons to him lol

Voted 3rd best food centre in singapore, chomp chomp food centre is small but has plenty of good food and queues to match. It's like a chilli padi, small but packs a punch. My kind of FC.
Stingray always taste fantastic

Mouth-watering chicken wings & drums
