FYP, FYP, FYP. Although our group are not as chiong as some groups who go to school everyday, FYP is pretty much on my mind everyday now during the holidays. We need to get the shape of our 40" flying saucer up by Oct18, but we only have our ribs done. And just yesterday we encountered our first big problem; We cant manually bend into shape the rim of the circular saucer, so we need the help of a contractor. Argh, this is stressing me out.

I was thinking why Singapore wants to-be motorists to go through 3 classes of licenses to ride the same 2 wheels a motorbike has. Maybe now I know. My dad's harley is heavy as shiT. I have problems just tilting it upright from the stand.

The gumiho is showing her tails during full moon. LOL. But this moon is really chinese full moon.

This is just soo wrong.

Hong Kong: That's where my mom went for holiday this week with her niece. So this week we have to find our own meals. Last night, I had my brother's cooking for dinner. It's his 1st ever time cooking, so dont ask how it tasted. For lunch today we had my sister's homemade pizza. Finally she does something edible and good on the palate.

END OF YEAR 3 SEMESTER 1. 1 SEMESTER LEFT BEFORE GRADUATION!
Human Factors today was the last paper and there goes our penultimate leg of polytechnic studies. Time sure fliesss.

During the paper, as I looked out the window, dark clouds were gathering at breakneck speed and formation and soon after all hell broke lost. The heaviest rain poured and it was accompanied by howling winds. After the paper we were at Moberly and this was the damage of the God's kiss(blow) of death:

A mid-sized tree fell on a Mitsubishi Lancer!
I've heard and read soo much of tree falling on cars recently but to see one is a different thing all together. After seeing this, I immediately went to drive my car away and off because looking down on my humble car where I was parking, was a huge angsana tree-sized tree, all 4 stories of it! That goes down and my car becomes kereta penyet.

For our mandatory post-exams celebrations, we wanted to try previously untried and famous hawker fare, but in the end we all ended up in the ever evergreen Jurong Point eating ayam penyet. And of course if we stopped there it will be an insult to our end party. So we proceeded to Swenson's for some Student 1-for-1 ice cream! But the queue was disgustingly looong and if the worst thing that can happen to a queue is, it being totally stagnant, it is exactly what is happening to us. So we drove down to IMM where the Swenson's is bigger and voila!, close to empty with people. Naisee.

Yesterday we were studying at ben's place and had lunch and dinner at food-havan Bedok. Dinner was at J's Wok & Grill, a nice heartland cafe serving western and local food.

Remember my 'when life gives you lemons' post whereby i was ranting about how I got an unbelieveably low score for my mechanics lab component? Guess what? I did a mini-investigation of my own, submitted my findings to the teacher via email, and this is what he replied:

"Yes, Kang Wei, you are correct.
Appears I've accidentally hit "0" in place of "9," hence the low score. On correcting you score 85.
I will amend the marksheet that's been submitted to the school office tomorrow.
You now only need score 73 marks in the semester exam to get an A grade.
My apologies for the gaffe."

This is just..Im just lost for words, seriously. Zero instead of a Nine! Thats one hell of a gaffe, man! But now all's well again. and with the mech paper less than 2 days away, this is set up perfectly for me to score. No excuses for not doing well.

3rd paper completed just 1 hour ago. Dont look too good, this aircraft systems paper. But so is all papers that require me to memorize only. Once in the exam hall, KABOOM, I forget everything and anything. It's definitely not panic, because I've been having exams for half my life. It's just my ultra short memory, which I must say Im not very proud of. So short is it, that when I remember I need to get something from my room, I walk into my room, and I forget what I am there for.
2 more papers to go.

Mechanics revision in school with friends later.
Back in Malaysia by tomorrow morning to spend the long holiday.

天天看到你 by A-Du. This song is soo apt right now in this current situation. That's because during these couple of study weeks, I've been studying at home, with my brother right opposite me at the table. Im getting sick of having him in my sight already! And it's not like he's studying very hard and quietly. Most often than not, he's putting on the headphones, go to youtube, watch korean variety shows and then laugh into the computer like a dumbass.

Guess what? Tomorrow we'll be at home for the whole day. Again.

Now to the topic of my ideal mode of transport and vehicle.
This is what I will get after I get my Class2 license, a Yamaha R1. \/
Fast, light, super acceleration, traffic jam-immune. Just the way I like it to be.

Friday, September 3 @ 8:50 PM

No car to drive, and mrt sucks, so I decided to cycle to school today for mechanics tutorial and free class lunch(yeap, there's such a thing called free lunch in the world, right here in SP! But then again my dad pays soo much income tax. What is a $10 lunch per semester to them anyway).

Today is really another case of When Life Gives you Lemons. Part II.

At mech lesson, we learnt of our grades at press time, lab, mst and excluding the semester exam. To my shock, my lab marks(20%) was a pathetic 64%! I told the teacher this cant be possible, because even my lab members got 78% and 79%. But he said, then most probably I screwed up my final individual lab theory test, which I think is pure crap too. Comparing with the others, some of who are totally clueless about the theory test but yet scored higher than me, it just doesnt add up. So now, going into the exam my score is plain jane average, even though I scored 95% for MST, second only behind the forever-100% Yiming.

Part I was AVS pratical assignment where we had to design a melody generator. That dumbass teacher gave me low marks for my design, which was lower than what he gave for a PLAIN COLOURED piece. Fuck, my F1 car design was definitely better than that. Then he just said, "Art is very subjective, I might like something which you dont like." What the heLL. Fuck you, man! But then again there's pretty much nothing I can do, can I? Im not one to hold grudges, so I can only say it's just a case of When Life Gives you Lemon.
Semester Exams, Just you watch out. Im coming for you soo bad.
.
.
Sidestep to more interesting stuff now: On yiming's initiative, we all registered for the Nike 1ok Run on 24 Oct. Ironically, it's called the SG vs KL 10k run. And Im running for the Singapore race. It's gonna be fun with soo many people running en masse.
Tomorrow morning I'll be back in malaysia, eating my dimsum and playing with my dogs. Out.

Wednesday, September 1 @ 6:15 PM
This morning I was listening to some chinese songs on the home music system when my mom stopped it - much to my displeasure because it was reaching my favourite song - and changed to another song: September Morn by Neil Diamond. At first I was still puzzled about her abrupt change, until I realized it was September 1st today! Time sure flies(even when I'm not having fun, studying).

Status update: Still studying.

So true. Get on your bikes!
