For the first time in 6 and a half weeks, I went road cycling this afternoon. My hell, the moment I got on my bike I felt totally awkward, like Im totally new to the discipline again. I was feeling like, why was the seat so high, and why was the handlebar so narrow? Its so hard to steer! So basically that's what happens when you ride a cruiser bike too long, like what I did in china.
So the bottomline is: If anyone of you out there is presently riding a cruiser bike, please stop. Because like what the name suggests, it'll bring you no where. In fact, it'll bring you back where you've started.

Back to china. Day 7 was the first of many times we went to Xi'an city. We went with our SP teacher. Xi'an city, comparable to Orchard road with its nightlife and vibe, is about an hour's bus drive from Yanliang. The bus fare is RMB16 or 18, depending whether the shifu uses the expressway. The city has a rich mix of history and modern amenities, and that is where it beats orchard road hands down; the History part. The city wall, the drum and bell tower, big and small pagodas, the historical attractions are aplenty in the city.

Day 7

This is the city's famous Muslim Street. Something like Singapore's Bugis or Malaysia's Petaling Street. Like any other shopping street in the world, haggling is needed here.

That's one way to get customers.

Dumplings that cant be compared to China's best. Shanghai Xiao Long Bao, anyone?

Some old historical building.

Is this supposed to be a fake Crocodile or a real Clio Coddle outlet??

Another shopping street in the city. This one sells mainly souvenirs and brushes than food compared to Muslim Street.

The old and young of china.

Like i said, this street sells more paintings, jade, etc. I bought my Terra Cotta souvenirs here.

This place is all about Confucius. All together, there are 3,000 steles in the museum. They say China's very first written words are all from the steles.

Words are carved on the steles. One stele roughly took about 20 years to complete back then. Correct me if Im wrong with the years, guys.

Everything is about the steles. The male tour guide is, in my eyes, the second Confucius the world have ever seen. Super knowledgeable and animated!

At night the towers look more beautiful.

Day 8

A typical day-long raining day but we've got the explorer attitude: rain or shine adventure is always on!

Shipping firecrackers back to the hotel on, what else? Bicycles.

Day 9

Selling veg at this flea market called Xin Shi Ji.

Hygiene is something you have to leave behind when you come to china.

This girl, very soon became the girlfriend of ***. HAHA!

Clean it, clean it! I cant stand my bags to be dirty.
