Today's activities in photos> After school, Yiming drove us to AnchorPoint for some dessert. We parked at Ikea, and below was initially how he parked. Haha, damn hilarious! But hey, that's why we have the probation plate. @Traditional Dessert. Because they use snow ice, this is delicious dessert. Durians outside Westmall Aunt came to Singapore for a business trip, and she will definitely want to treat us, so here is where Mayim comes in. Queue was damn long, but in a case where winning lottery will look easy, they ushered us in after we asked for a table for 6. We were at the tail end of the queue! So we bypassed all and went in. Must be good karma. After eating this again, I think the RM4 homemade noodles near my house tastes better. Not that this is bad, but this is not fantastic either. Noodle quality to price ratio is not there. Sunday, July 25 @ 5:16 PM
Prior to this, all I knew about mexican food was tortilla chips. So, very obviously we were going to order that. It came together with quesadillas. On top of that, we had baked rice, burger meal and 10" pizza too. Not quite Mexican uh, for the latter few. Just a quick search over the net now on mexican food, it seems that this dish called tacos is a mexican favourite. Looking between something like a MacD chicken foldover and a pumped-up quesadillas, it sure looks super appetising. But either we didnt see it on the menu or it wasnt there at all. Overall, the food was good, atmosphere fitting and pricing acceptable. Worth coming back for more! Next time with my sister maybe. She's always not back in malaysia when we have good food. Tortillas with quesadillas Friday Friday lunch at East Coast Lagoon Food Centre, or I think better known as the food centre with tens of satay stalls. They even had purpose-built satay platforms in front of the stalls. Not many stalls were open, they said many open much later in the day; that place comes alive at night. So come at night. The most ideal plan I have is, rent a bicycle, cycle along and to east coast, then take a break at this food centre and replenish ur energy with satay, sugarcane with lemon, etc. Now regarding the point of location, remember the news about East Coast Park being the happiest place in singapore? I think I really have to agree with that. The place itself just looks so relaxing. From afar, the blue seas, then on it the ships. Come ashore, the sand, the coconut trees, cyclists and last but not least the bikinis=D. I should come here more often, preferably on evenings, so there are more sightings. The setting sun, of course, was what I were refering to. Just look at the size of these prawns! And there were 3 of them! The bad thing though? Having eaten this, Im never going to look at normal prawn mee the same anymore. I need and want a holiday. Penang? Phuket? Anywhere away from here! Friday, July 23 @ 8:21 PM
Soccer at East Coast Cage today, played for 2hrs plus, until my feet gonna give way to blisters and also reaching rush hour too. August holidays are coming; 3 weeks of rest. We guys were planning to go Phuket for a 5-day fun trip. At first it looked promising, then one by one everyone started backing out, citing money problems. So it's another failed planning from us. Expected lah. We can never plan a proper trip out. We just like to talk about going to places, get all excited, and then no one gets the real ball rolling. So now, it's either my cousin coming down to Singapore or me going up to Penang for some sand, sun and food! Tuesday, July 20 @ 8:41 PM
Dad's birthday tomorrow. Sist wants to prepare her so-called signature dish 'Ba Chor mee' for him. Ba chor mee for birthday? Im not too sure about that. More tomorrow. Sunday, July 11 @ 7:53 PM
Sunday dinner. Always salad, chicken breast meat and/or bread. This is my sister's portion. Mine is X10 her everthing. After I prodded it back down to ground level with a stick, I felt itchy all over. Insects always, always play with my mind. Like a bloody lizard and its detachable tail after I smack it half dead. Its not exactly a portfolio-kind-of acheivement but Im proud to say that I've killed 5 lizards so far. Lizards are fast, agile, smart, and small creatures and it's extremely hard to get close to them, let alone kill them. And the reward for killing them is not exactly rewarding; You get a sense of disgust after seeing it's maimed and limp body and then there's the thought of it's tail wriggling onto you. MAJOR YUCKS. It's a tough job, I must say. Sunday, July 4 @ 9:27 PM
Right now, Im watching the Tour de France stage 1, from Rotterdam to Brussels. The riders are just passing Antwerp, and I recognise the place! The cathedral, the canal, the port and the roads. When we visited Europe, my sister brought us to Antwerp for a day trip. We got lost there, and ended up walking all over the place. That's how I'll guess I look if I ride to school, plus the helmet of course. In malaysia you'll see plenty of riders like this(below). Rogue riding, weak upright bike, and an aero position. This motorbike is an all together different beast. Last Week: Dry Prawn Mee from golden mile hawker centre |
