On a study note now, after spending 4 days in internetless malaysia studying, I realise I cant bring myself to concentrate in Singapore. The internet is too huge a distraction. News, Google, youtube, and whatnot nonsenses. But fret not, this saturday Im bringing myself back to exile in malaysia. On a same note but different score of FYProject, I think we are soo screwed. We havent even started building our saucer! The best part? We have to build it up by 11oct, which, with 2 weeks of exams inbetween, isnt alot of time really. As much as we like to do things last min, Im not sure if this time we can even meet the deadline. DUI. Thursday, August 19 @ 9:46 PM
5pm Sis n Bro came and picked us up and we went to Long Beach @ East Coast to have chilli crab! I think Singapore's chilli crabs are overated. And expensive. Black pepper crabs in JB can own them anytime, even on a bad Crab day. Mantou's are good to dip 4 person tackled 1 crab Wednesday, August 18 @ 11:31 PM
Today's itinerary was as such: -9am reach RWS -Skytrain to Sentosa beach -10am enter Universal Studio Singapore(USS) -Lunch at New York Loui's. We ate the largest pizza we've ever seen, all 20" of it. -4pm Back home to rest, damn tired. -Rested well before setting off for our Food Trip 1. -5.30pm off to Sunset Grill & Pub for some spicy Buffalo wings! -7pm @ Jalan Kayu. Indian Rojak, Prata and Satay. -Proceeded down south to Old Airport Road, I think it's the Hawker Centre, where we ordered 2 uniquely singapore food for cousin to taste. At this stage we were all extremely full, hence signifying the end of our foodtrip. -9pm got lost trying to find AYE, cos we wanted to see the city skyline from a distance. Instead we went thru the city. Universal view of Universal This is the only pizza in the world whereby I only eat 1 slice of it. Best roller coaster I've taken in my life so far. Fast, hard, jerky, sudden. Labels: USS Saturday, August 14 @ 4:45 PM
This is my first time in Phuket and I think it is truly a very beautiful place. So beautiful to the extent that thousands of 鬼老(means caucasians) flock here at any time of the year; some even making this their home. Actually, Phuket's scenery look very much like malaysia's: the random rubber and oil palm trees, the kampong houses and simply just the undeveloped 'look'. But what really amazes me about Phuket is that it is roughly the same size as Singapore but it has everything the latter doesnt: the sea, the beach, countless hills, in some cases maybe even mountains, and the forests. And of course last but not least the mega waves hitting the shores! On the first day when I saw it, I was wowed by it, like some sua-ku who've never seen water before. It puts east coast beach singapore to shame. Ok, a brief breakdown of what we did over the 5 days starting Aug9 Monday. Monday 9: -Land at Phuket 9pm. -Transfer to Sugar Palm Resort at Kata, a less hectic beachfront compared to its more popular Patong Beach -Immediately explore the area, with dinner as 1st priority -Ate at a homely Thai eatery. 1st official dish eaten in Phuket goes to the legendary Tom Yum Goong! Tuesday 10: -hotel breakfast buffet (same for all mornings) -rented motorbike! Mine was a compact and powerful scooter. Im never looking scooters as pussy bikes anymore. -Explored Kata Beach -Found our way to Patong area. 30mins ride. 2 steep hills en route. 1st of many times we ride to Patong. Patong is totally different. More hectic, sleazier, more shops, better night ambience. -Lunch at Wine Connection -Explore Patong -Dinner at beachfront eatery near Kata. This is where I found pineapple rice in pineapple! Wednesday 11: -Rainy day. Slack around. -3 of us rode to Patong to pay for the tours -rode back to Kata. Slack. -Went up to a viewpoint to watch sunset. -11pm left for Patong for nightlife party! -Clubbing at Seduction. Thursday 12: -Full day tour island hopping and snorkelling @ Phi Phi Island, Maya Bay, Khai Nok Island, Viking Cave. This was my second time snorkelling and it's an awesome feeling to swim with the fishes. The scenery was out-of-the-world gorgeous, but other than that, this tour was quite a waste of time and money(1000baht). Too much time travelling on the speedboat. And Phi Phi is overrated, definitely. Friday 13: -Full day tour ATV riding, rafting, waterfall, elephant & monkey show. Oxcart riding. Buffalo. Fish spa. This tour, on the other hand, was worth all the baht we paid! Soo many activities, the animals were damn cute, and the ATV/rafting were virgin experiences. Not to mention we spammed the FOC fruits, mainly just the banana, to the point the lady was quite pissed with us. Mind you we paid 1500baht for this man! We should have all the bananas we want! Fooling around before boarding the plane to Phuket. 1st dish I sank my teeth: tom yum goong! And then all the memories of my 1st ever tom yum goong gushed back. I had to take a shot with my tom yum goong. We all rented motorbikes to travel around Phuket. Kata Beach The sleaziest road in Patong: Bang-la Road! Our high night We have one fake Korean star there
