Thursday, November 19 @ 6:26 AM
It's 6.30am in the morning and Im blogging! It's not my practice to blog at this time, which means there's something going on! Yeap, I've finally joined a cycling club, something that is long long overdue ever since I got my bike over a year ago. Joyriders, or longhouse5am, have 5am rides starting from Longhouse, Upper Thompson. Which means, as a resident of Bukit Batok and a person who takes a long time to prepare, I had to wake up at 3.30am! I thought these 5am rides will be very impractical in the long run since I have to wake up so early. But after riding today, I guess Im so wrong.

There were about 20 riders in total, mainly adult guys, cos Thursday rides are faster. Right off the start the pace was high and come the hills, the pace got even harder. By the time we reached Mandai Shell to regroup, we covered more than 20km in a blink of an eye! 2 clicks away from the shell, the hard-riding front few had caused the pack to split, and subsequently they surged ahead. And I was in the pack! Yea, always good to start infront.
Why haven't I joined this club earlier?! I've been missing such intensity and volume all these while man.

Yesterday 18 Nov.

Went over to Joyce's place to get my Joyriders jersey. Electric Green!

If there's one other thing that I regret sticking by with, and not changing and trying new things, its my DSLR kit lens! Believe it or not, I've been using my kit lens ever since I purchased it, which is 2 years! Yesterday, I bought the canon 10-22 wide angle lens for my sister and I will be able to use it before I have to hand it over to her in Dec. And the image quality, the feel, the everything is just so beautiful. It was after viewing the pictures taken with the 10-22 that I realized I've stuck by with my kit lens for too long..

Wide angle!

Landscape and nature is where the 10-22 belongs.
